Waste Paper Recycling Campaign



College: Kakatiya University Campus
WASTE PAPER RECYCLING CAMPAIGN TEAM MEMBERS AND ALSO THE EXECUTIVE MEMBERS OF NATURE CLUB:

we had a successful waste paper recycling campaign today in KU campus for 2 days.
i.e., on 10th and 11th nov
on the first day itself we collected around 500kgs and on the second day of recycling we reached our target of 1000 kgs

Maximum contribution from these members in today's campaign:
Manikyamma madam, KU college chem lecturer _ 40 Kgs
Ravikumar reddy, Ramappa engg college, mech department _ 60kgs
Rajesh, KU college engg graphics lecturer _ 80kgs
Chaithanaya reddy, NIT warangal student _ 100kgs
Anusha manne, KU cse student _ 40kgs
rahul ragi, REC cse student 1st year _ 10kgs
Vinitha flarence, KU cse student 2nd year _ 15 kgs+ (cardboards in bulk)
sai priya, KU cse student 2nd year _ 100kgs
sruthi, ku cse student 2nd year _ 10kgs
kethan, KU ece student 1st year _ 10kgs
srikar poosa, KU ece student 2nd year _ 15kgs
Anusha, KU student _ 20 kgs

and many other students of Kakatiya university got 1kg per head to a minimum and some students got upto 10kgs of waste paper











On 12th we sent it for ITC (recycling)

after the recycling campaign we had a seminar on Awareness on environmental issues and green jobs by Regional coordinator of “CLEAIN”
Pramod Rao Errabelli and myself (Ravikrian Reddy)


on the first day itself we collected around 500kgs
 
maximum contribution from these members in on 10th November's campaign:

we sold out the waste paper on 12th at reddy colyny paper buyers stall, naimnagar, hanmakonda, Warangal….. which is sent to the ITC for recycling

net weight of the waste paper we collected 917kgs on balance....

out of which old newspaper 567kgs=(567*8=4536) [8/- per Kg]
and old note books 350 kgs=(350*4=1400) [4/- per kg]
total money [4536+1400=5976]
on pleasing he made into round figure and made into 6000/-
The money we got is given to a charitable organization “We can Help us” which serves the needy….

team members can bring the waste at ur homes at any time....according to ur convenience.....before 11th.......and keep the waste paper in seminar hall......

we had a great successful campaign by using the facebook publicity and Newspaper publicity….
We also got the waste newspaper from out of our college apart from students….
We had a good response from our faculty too…..

The main motto of our campaign is to recycle the waste paper and we had a tag line “contribute 1 kg of waste paper per head”

our campaign add says that every member in our college should bring 1 kg per head to a minimum extent compulsorily

·        We don’t take the appreciation letter while giving for recycling and it will be submitted in the further submissions
